I only take in three to four outside horses at a time so that I can ensure that the horses receive the attention they need. So please call or email for the next available opening and to schedule your horse into the program.

I can not promise 30/60 day wonders in regards to Barrel Training.
Firstly, thank you for visiting my training page. This page is an integral part of the website. I have been involved in the horse industry my entire life. I am a third generation horse trainer. I would love to tell you all about the one person who taught me everything that I know, however, there is not just any one person. My knowledge derives from many people and even many more horses over the past 30 years. From NCHA trainers to NRHA trainers and everyone in between. From my experiences, I can teach you how to communicate with your horse. Also, I can teach you the benefits of ULTIMATE BODY CONTROL. I can add body control to your "started", "trained" or even your "finished" horse to give you that extra edge. Do all that you can do, to make your experience with your horse the best that it can be. I promise that you will see a difference.

My training techniques are based on five body control "buttons" that will help you get and maintain complete body control of your horse at all times. You've heard the expression, "Be one with your horse." Well, this is how you get started! Not to mention, it is how your HORSE gets started too. Horses are not born just knowing what it is we want from them and then just do it. We have to teach them. Anyone and ANY HORSE can easily learn to have ULTIMATE BODY CONTROL.

Collection, bending, flexing, body control, softness and consistency are vital in my program and are worked on daily. I will teach your horse to respond to your cues with minimal resistance which always brings out that "I want to" attitude. I have a firm but gentle nature about my training and understand that respect is essential in training horses. And, I mean that from both sides. The trainer must respect the horse in order to obtain respect from the horse and vise versa. I will not tell you that I NEVER discipline a horse. I see my horses as I see my children and treat them very similarly. Horses, like people, all have different personalities and what works on one horse, may not work on another. So there are many "tricks" up my sleeve. All of which resort to body manipulation, give-and-take, and occasionally discipline. There are times that a horse needs discipline, however, it is vital that you know what is required and when.

A horses' motion can be easily manipulated by your body language. The same applies to riding/training of the horse. A horse, as you know, cannot speak and tell you that he doesn't understand, or that he is confused. Therefore you must be able to interpret his body language and likewise, he must be able to interpret yours. Once you establish that communication and understanding, there are no limits to what you can teach your horse!
